Editorial Policy
Last updated: May 2026
This Editorial Policy describes the standards IPO Guru applies when researching, writing, reviewing, and publishing content on www.ipoguru.in. It applies to every article, analysis, GMP report, allotment update, and listing review on this site.
Mission
IPO Guru exists to help retail investors in India make informed decisions about Initial Public Offerings (IPOs) on the Mainboard and SME platforms. Our content focuses on factual reporting of IPO data, transparent analysis of company fundamentals, and timely updates on subscription, allotment, and listing events.
Sources We Rely On
All factual claims published on IPO Guru are sourced from primary, verifiable references. These include:
- Draft Red Herring Prospectus (DRHP) and Red Herring Prospectus (RHP) documents filed with SEBI
- Official disclosures and corporate announcements from BSE and NSE
- Subscription data published directly by BSE and NSE during the IPO bidding window
- SEBI press releases, observation letters, and regulatory orders
- Registrar websites (Link Intime, KFin Technologies, Bigshare, etc.) for allotment data
- Audited financial statements and statutory filings of the issuing company
- Statements made on the record by the issuer's lead managers, registrars, or authorised spokespersons
When secondary sources such as news agencies are used, they are clearly attributed within the article.
Independence
Editorial decisions on IPO Guru are made independently of any commercial relationship. We do not accept payment, gifts, equity, or any other consideration in exchange for favourable coverage of an IPO, issuer, lead manager, or registrar. Sponsored content, when present, is clearly labelled as such and is created and managed separately from the editorial team.
The founder, Abhishek Vohera, and any contributing analyst do not hold positions in IPOs they are actively analysing on the day of publication, except where explicitly disclosed within the article. Long-term holdings, when relevant, are disclosed inline.
Verification & Fact-Checking
Every article is reviewed against its primary sources before publication. Numerical data such as price band, lot size, issue size, GMP, and subscription figures are double-checked against the original BSE/NSE/registrar source. Analysis pieces are reviewed for internal consistency and for clear separation between fact and opinion.
Distinction Between News, Analysis, and Opinion
IPO Guru publishes three types of content, and each is presented in a way that makes the distinction clear to the reader:
- News reports document factual events such as IPO openings, closings, allotment dates, and listings. They contain minimal interpretation.
- Analysis articles evaluate fundamentals, financials, peer comparisons, valuations, and market conditions. They are clearly framed as analytical.
- Opinion content reflects the personal view of the author and is labelled or written in a first-person voice so the reader can identify it as such.
Bylines & Author Accountability
Every article on IPO Guru carries a visible author byline that links to the author's profile page, including their credentials, social profiles, and contact information. Readers can see exactly who wrote what they are reading.
Use of AI Tools
Editorial staff at IPO Guru may use AI tools to assist with grammar checks, formatting, summarisation of public documents, and idea generation. AI is never used to fabricate facts, generate financial figures, or produce articles end-to-end without human review. A qualified human author is responsible for every article published on this site, and the byline reflects that authorship.
Updates to Live Articles
News articles describing live events such as subscription day or allotment day are updated as new data becomes available. When an article is updated, the "last modified" timestamp on the page reflects the change. Material updates that change the meaning of the original article are noted in the article body.
Disclaimer
Content on IPO Guru is provided for informational purposes only and does not constitute investment advice, an offer to buy or sell securities, or a recommendation to subscribe to any IPO. Readers should consult a SEBI-registered investment adviser and read the offer document carefully before making any investment decision. Past performance is not indicative of future results.
