Anchor Lock-ins Ending This Week: 5 IPOs, Including NSE's ₹6,746 Crore Anchor Book

Five mainboard IPOs have anchor lock-ins ending between 20 and 25 October 2026, in our table of anchor lock-ins ending this week. The biggest by far is NSE, whose 189 anchors put in ₹6,746.22 crore, and half of that stake unlocks on 22 October.

Which anchor lock-ins end this week?

Anchor investors are large institutions that buy at the issue price before an IPO opens. Half of their shares are locked in for 30 days after allotment, and the rest for 90 days. Here is the week, soonest first.

Prices are the latest in our records. Varmora Granito's date falls on a Sunday, so the shares can first trade on Monday 26 October.

How big is NSE's anchor book?

NSE's issue was ₹22,561.57 crore, and the anchor portion of ₹6,746.22 crore is about 30% of it. Its 189 anchors are more than the other four IPOs this week combined, which have 73. The shares listed at ₹1,800 against the issue price of ₹1,785.

Hero Motors raised ₹299.98 crore from 24 anchors on a ₹1,000 crore issue. SS Retail raised ₹146.38 crore on ₹500 crore. Caliber Mining's anchors, 10 in number, put in ₹135 crore on a ₹450 crore issue, and this is the second and final unlock for them.

Free to trade is not the same as will be sold. Anchors often hold on, and some have sold in the days after a lock-in ended. The date only tells you when the shares are able to reach the market.

What our data shows

The year's listings give the context. Of 100 mainboard IPOs listed in 2026, 66 opened above their issue price, with a median listing gain of 6.92%. This week's table is mixed against that: three of the five trade above the anchor price, two below it. The largest gap above is SS Retail at 68.35%. You can compare every listing on the IPO performance page.

What happens next

The 90-day unlocks for Hero Motors, SS Retail, NSE and Varmora Granito follow in January 2027. Dates for each are on the IPO calendar, and NSE's anchor details are on its IPO page.
