The Imarticus IPO could be worth ₹1,000 crore, as per an Inc42 report published on 26 October 2026. The edtech company plans to file its draft papers (DRHP) with SEBI through the confidential route in the next two to three months.
Imarticus has not yet confirmed the plan. Inc42 says it has asked the company for comment.
What the report says
The issue size has gone up from the ₹750 crore planned earlier, as per the report. That earlier plan was a mix of a fresh issue and an offer for sale (OFS). The report does not say how the new size will be split.
The company wants to use the money to grow its business and to buy other companies. Organic growth could mean more Centres of Excellence, more courses at the Imarticus School of Finance and Business, and a bigger B2B business.

What is a confidential filing?
In a confidential filing, the company gives SEBI its draft papers without making them public. SEBI reviews them in private. The company releases a public version later, before the IPO opens. So investors may not see financials for some time.
Who is Imarticus?
Nikhil Barshikar and Sonya Hooja founded Imarticus in 2012. It teaches finance, banking, analytics, technology and marketing. It sells courses to students and working professionals, and training to companies.
The company recently bought BELLS Institute of Higher Learning in Singapore for ₹800 crore. Last year it bought the edtech platform MyCaptain for ₹50 crore in cash and stock.
What our data shows
At about ₹1,000 crore, this would be a mid-sized plan. Our tracker has 61 IPO filings and plans this year, and this one would sit 36th by size. Another 70 companies have filed draft papers so far in October.
What happens next
Nothing is filed yet, so there is no SEBI date to watch. If Imarticus files, SEBI's review usually takes one to three months. We will cover it when the filing is confirmed.
Edtech has had a tough few years. The report adds that upGrad completed its Unacademy deal last month at just over $200 million, against a peak value of $3.5 billion. See the upcoming mainboard IPOs page for companies already in the pipeline. Another plan we covered is the Infinx IPO. The full story is in the Inc42 report.
