Chennai Super Kings Cricket Limited owns and operates the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) franchise in the Indian Premier League (IPL). CSK is one of the most successful and valuable IPL franchises — a 5-time IPL champion (2010, 2011, 2018, 2021, 2023) with a global fanbase of over 100 million. The company's revenues come from media rights (share of IPL central pool), sponsorships, merchandise, ticket sales, and digital content. CSK is led by CEO Kasi Viswanathan and is steered by the legendary MS Dhoni. The company is backed by the India Cements group and is one of the few profitable sports franchises in Asia. It also holds the Cape Town Knight Riders franchise in SA20.
