About

About Goodluck Green Energy

Goodluck Green Energy Limited is a young company from Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. It was incorporated on 09.01.2024 as Goodluck Green Energy Private Limited and became a public company on 06.05.2025. Its annual report for the year ended 31 March 2026 is its third. The company makes green hydrogen. Its greenfield plant was inaugurated on 1 May 2026. The process takes industrial metallic waste and industrial effluents and converts them into high-purity green hydrogen, using renewable energy. By-products are turned into pigments and other useful materials, and the company also sees a chance to earn carbon credits. The plant started with a capacity of about 3 tonnes of green hydrogen a month. The company has said it plans to scale this to about 63 tonnes a month over the next 14 to 18 months. The numbers show a company still before commercial sales. For FY26 revenue from operations was nil. All the income was interest income, which was ₹687.87 lakh, against ₹339.93 lakh in FY25. Profit after tax was ₹508.18 lakh against ₹173.96 lakh. The company calls itself not yet commenced in operations for the year under report. Much of the money raised is sitting in capital work in progress (700,663.72 thousand at 31 March 2026) and in advances and loans given. The board has Rajat Garg and Rishabh Garg as directors, along with Mahesh Chandra Garg. Related party disclosures name Excellent Fincap Pvt. Ltd., an entity controlled by directors and their relatives, which paid the company interest during the year. The statutory auditor is Sanjeev Anand & Associates. The company has not filed a DRHP that we have on record, so there is no IPO journey to report yet. Unlisted shares of a company like this are dealt off-market between private buyers and sellers, and the price on this page, ₹148 per share, is only an indicative figure and not an exchange price. It implies a market cap of about ₹1,475.79 crore.

Strengths

  • The green hydrogen plant was inaugurated on 1 May 2026 and has begun operations, so the project has moved from construction to production.
  • The company reported profit after tax of ₹508.18 lakh in FY26, up from ₹173.96 lakh in FY25, supported by interest income of ₹687.87 lakh.
  • It has no long-term borrowings on its balance sheet at 31 March 2026 and the auditor's contingent liabilities note says nil.
  • The process converts industrial metal waste and effluents into hydrogen and pigments, which gives it more than one product and a possible carbon credit stream.
  • Management plans to raise capacity from about 3 tonnes to about 63 tonnes of green hydrogen a month over 14 to 18 months.

Risks

  • Revenue from operations was nil in both FY26 and FY25. All reported income is interest income, so there is no proof yet of sales or margins from hydrogen.
  • Profit comes from interest earned on money lent out. Of this, a large part came from Excellent Fincap Pvt. Ltd., an entity controlled by directors and their relatives, which makes the company dependent on a related party.
  • Cash and cash equivalents fell to 15,996.60 thousand at 31 March 2026 from 396,769.55 thousand a year earlier, as money moved into capital work in progress and advances.
  • Short-term loans and advances were 916,091.91 thousand at 31 March 2026, a large part of total assets, and their recovery depends on the borrowers.
  • The scale-up to about 63 tonnes a month is a plan for the next 14 to 18 months and may face delays, funding needs or technology risk.
  • Green hydrogen is an emerging market and demand from industry and heavy transport is still developing.
  • The company is only a few years old, and its Company Secretary changed during FY26, so the track record is short.
  • Unlisted shares trade off-market at indicative prices, with limited liquidity and no exchange price discovery.
