About

About IKF Finance

IKF Finance Limited is a non-banking finance company (NBFC) incorporated in 1991. Its registered office is in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, and its corporate office is in Hyderabad. It started as a commercial vehicle financier and now lends to self-employed people, micro-entrepreneurs and small transport operators in rural and semi-urban India. The company offers commercial vehicle loans, two and three-wheeler loans, car and multi-utility vehicle loans, construction equipment loans, tractor loans, secured MSME loans, loans against property and home loans. Home loans and loans against property are run through its subsidiary, IKF Home Finance Limited. The annual report says the group has 340+ branches in 11 states and one union territory, 65+ lending partners and 1,00,000+ customers. In FY26 (year ended 31 March 2026) the group reports consolidated revenue of ₹1,189 crore and consolidated PAT of ₹215 crore, with AUM of ₹8,618 crore and disbursements of ₹4,785 crore. The standalone accounts, which this page uses for the financial table, show revenue from operations of ₹89,536.87 lakh and profit for the year of ₹16,483.02 lakh. Consolidated gross NPA was 2.3% and net NPA 1.6%. On ownership, the shareholding pattern at 31 March 2026 shows promoters holding 35.27% and foreign promoters 1.72%. Foreign companies hold 40.80% and domestic corporate bodies 14.12%. In May and August 2025 the company allotted new shares at ₹366.42 per share (before the later split of face value from ₹10 to ₹5) to investors including Norwest Capital, LLC, India Business Excellence Fund - IV and Motilal Oswal Wealth Limited. The company's shares are not listed on any stock exchange. Unlisted shares of a company like this trade off-market between private parties, and the indicative price here is ₹198 per share for a lot of 250 shares. That price is only a guide from dealer quotes. It is not an exchange price and there is no guaranteed buyer or seller.

Strengths

  • Standalone profit for the year rose to ₹16,483.02 lakh in FY26 from ₹10,794.73 lakh in FY25.
  • Standalone revenue from operations grew to ₹89,536.87 lakh in FY26 from ₹65,024.92 lakh in FY25.
  • Group AUM stands at ₹8,618 crore with disbursements of ₹4,785 crore in FY26, and collection efficiency of 97.9%.
  • Standalone net worth nearly doubled to ₹1,89,558.85 lakh at 31 March 2026 from ₹98,851.42 lakh a year earlier, after the equity raise in 2025.
  • Wide distribution: 340+ branches in 11 states and one union territory, and 65+ lending partners.
  • Diversified loan mix across commercial vehicles, two and three-wheelers, tractors, equipment, MSME and home loans, with a housing finance subsidiary, IKF Home Finance Limited.
  • Consolidated return on assets of 2.8% and return on equity of 14.0% in FY26, as reported by the company.

Risks

  • Asset quality needs watching: consolidated gross NPA is 2.3% and net NPA 1.6%, and impairment on financial instruments rose to ₹8,436.82 lakh from ₹3,972.43 lakh on a standalone basis.
  • Funding cost is large: finance costs were ₹41,711.65 lakh in FY26 against revenue from operations of ₹89,536.87 lakh.
  • The company depends on borrowings: borrowings other than debt securities were ₹3,63,243.13 lakh and debt securities ₹94,579.04 lakh at 31 March 2026.
  • Customers are largely self-employed, small transport operators and micro-entrepreneurs, whose incomes can be hit by economic slowdowns.
  • Loan book is concentrated in vehicle finance, which is tied to freight demand and the used-vehicle market.
  • Standalone total assets grew to ₹6,75,697.35 lakh from ₹5,01,201.06 lakh, so rapid growth could strain underwriting and collections.
  • Loans of ₹5,79,068.24 lakh make up most of the standalone balance sheet, so a rise in defaults would hit earnings directly.
  • As an NBFC it is regulated by the RBI, and changes in rules on capital, provisioning or lending can affect its business.
  • The shares are unlisted, so prices are indicative, liquidity is thin and no exchange disclosure or price discovery applies.
  • Fresh shares were issued at ₹366.42 per share before the face value split, and shareholders could face dilution if more capital is raised.
