Profit for the year fell to ₹2,019.36 lakhs from ₹2,302.87 lakhs, as finance costs and other expenses grew faster than income. Net worth was ₹26,778.47 lakhs at the year end. Gross NPA stood at 1.99% and net NPA at 1.12%, and the capital adequacy ratio was 23.90% against the 15% minimum. The board is chaired by Sreenivasan Thettalil Parameswaran Pillai, and Shibu Theckumpurath Varghese is the Wholetime Director. The company has raised money through private placement of equity at ₹15 per share, bonus issues, and public issues of non-convertible debentures. Strengths

  • Revenue from operations grew to ₹33,246.68 lakhs in FY25 from ₹30,562.49 lakhs in FY24, and was ₹27,540.07 lakhs in FY23.
  • The business is spread over 668 branches, with assets under management of ₹1,67,385.04 lakhs at 31 March 2025.
  • Gold loans are the core product at ₹1,10,159.14 lakhs of AUM, a loan secured against jewellery.
  • Capital adequacy ratio was 23.90% at 31 March 2025, against the 15% minimum set by the RBI.
  • Net worth was ₹26,778.47 lakhs at 31 March 2025, up from ₹26,506.21 lakhs a year earlier, helped by fresh equity raised at ₹15 per share.
  • Operating cash flow was ₹20,076.33 lakhs in FY25, well above the profit for the year of ₹2,019.36 lakhs.

Risks

  • Profit for the year fell to ₹2,019.36 lakhs in FY25 from ₹2,302.87 lakhs in FY24, even though revenue grew.
  • Finance costs were ₹17,453.40 lakhs in FY25, more than half of total income, so the margin depends on borrowing costs.
  • Gross NPA rose to 1.99% from 1.60% and net NPA to 1.12% from 0.66% in a year.
  • Total AUM fell to ₹1,67,385.04 lakhs from ₹1,72,095.82 lakhs in FY24.
  • The company relies heavily on gold loans, which brought 76.71% of total income in FY25, so gold price swings and auction risk matter.
  • The RBI issued a show cause notice in October 2023 and in April 2024 asked the company not to expand its balance sheet until corrective measures were put in place.
  • Funding comes largely from debt securities, bank borrowings and subordinated debt, so access to credit markets is essential.
  • Unlisted shares trade off-market, prices are indicative, and buying or selling can be slow.
