About

About MT&T Rentals

MT&T Rentals Limited (written Mtandt Rentals Limited in its annual report) trades, rents and services high-access vehicles, specialised products and work-at-height solutions. It also does commercial equipment rentals and sales. Customers are mainly infrastructure, industrial and commercial businesses across India. The registered office is at Padur, Thiruvallur district, Tamil Nadu, and the company has branches or yards at Jewar, Noida, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru and Bhuvneshwar. The numbers below are standalone and come from the FY26 annual report. Revenue from operations was ₹35,869.26 lakh against ₹21,734.72 lakh a year earlier. Profit after tax rose 67.40% to ₹5,265.27 lakh from ₹3,094.24 lakh. Basic EPS was ₹34.50. Cash flow from operating activities was ₹5,248.29 lakh. The company says it had 1,230 employees at the end of the year. The company is run by the Modi family. Rakesh Modi is Managing Director, and Gopal Modi and Sangeeta Modi are directors. Atosh R. Surana is Chief Financial Officer and Lokesh Kumar is Company Secretary. During FY26 it raised about ₹120 crore through private placement of preference shares and equity. At 31 March 2026 it had 1,52,62,796 equity shares, 4,33,550 CCPS and 21,78,639 Series B1 CCPS outstanding. It paid no dividend. The management targets growth of over 25% a year for the next decade, which is a company target and not a forecast by IPO Guru. It had one subsidiary, Vertikal Rentals Private Limited, at year end. After a fresh share allotment on 2 April 2026 the stake fell from 75% to 26%, so Vertikal became an associate company. The company has not filed a DRHP that we have linked to this page, so there is no IPO date or price band to report. Unlisted shares of a company like this are dealt off-market between buyers and sellers, and the price on this page (₹545 for a lot of 500 shares) is an indicative price, not an exchange price. Risks

  • Trade receivables rose to ₹18,567.60 lakh from ₹9,103.20 lakh, so a large part of the growth is yet to turn into cash.
  • Borrowings are heavy: long-term borrowings were ₹17,636.08 lakh and short-term borrowings ₹14,262.32 lakh at 31 March 2026.
  • Finance costs were ₹2,439.05 lakh in FY26 and depreciation was ₹6,105.08 lakh, which weigh on profit in a fleet-heavy business.
  • Other income of ₹2,439.60 lakh made up a notable part of total income of ₹38,308.86 lakh.
  • The company reports many dealings with related parties, including firms linked to the promoter family, and it gave a loan of ₹142.50 lakh to Vertikal Rentals, which is no longer a subsidiary.
  • Cash used in investing activities was ₹24,179.11 lakh in FY26, funded by new borrowings and capital, so the business depends on continued access to funding.
  • The board changed after year end: a nominee director and both women independent directors resigned and a new independent director was appointed.
  • Unlisted shares are not traded on an exchange, so prices are indicative and it may be hard to find a buyer.
