About

About Pashupati Polytex

Pashupati Polytex Private Limited makes polyester staple fibre, known as PSF, and PET flakes. PSF is a synthetic fibre used by spinners and textile makers. PET flakes are the raw material from which such fibre and other plastic products are made. The annual report describes the group's business as manufacturing of PSF and PET flakes. The company was incorporated in 2009 and its registered office is in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh. The FY25 annual report shows 211 employees at the end of the year. The accounts are consolidated, so they include a subsidiary along with the parent. The figures below are consolidated and are given in lakh, as printed in the report. For FY25 (year ended 31 March 2025) revenue from operations was ₹58,774.78 lakh, up from ₹48,619.75 lakh in FY24. Profit after tax was ₹2,696.95 lakh against a loss of ₹97.67 lakh a year earlier. Basic earnings per share were ₹7.28 for FY25. The balance sheet grew too: total assets were ₹66,752.49 lakh at 31 March 2025 and shareholders' funds were ₹42,282.89 lakh. In FY25 the company raised ₹30,519.84 lakh by issuing shares and used part of it to cut borrowings. The company is run by the Goenka family. Strengths

  • Revenue from operations grew from ₹48,619.75 lakh in FY24 to ₹58,774.78 lakh in FY25 on a consolidated basis, an increase the report puts down to higher turnover.
  • The group moved from a loss of ₹97.67 lakh in FY24 to a profit after tax of ₹2,696.95 lakh in FY25, and the net profit ratio stood at 4.59%.
  • Fresh share issues of ₹30,519.84 lakh in FY25 lifted shareholders' funds from ₹9,539.53 lakh to ₹42,282.89 lakh.
  • Borrowings came down: long-term borrowings fell from ₹21,521.26 lakh to ₹9,334.17 lakh and short-term borrowings from ₹13,695.84 lakh to ₹6,421.71 lakh. The debt to equity ratio in the report improved from 3.69 to 0.37.
  • Finance costs fell from ₹2,182.32 lakh in FY24 to ₹1,435.7 lakh in FY25 even as sales rose.
  • Fixed assets including work in progress were ₹30,956.49 lakh at 31 March 2025, and the company spent ₹5,169.29 lakh on tangible assets during FY25.

Risks

  • Cash flow from operating activities was negative at ₹2,402.77 lakh in FY25, even though profit after tax was ₹2,696.95 lakh. In FY24 it was a positive ₹6,397.39 lakh.
  • The profit turnaround is recent. The group made a loss of ₹97.67 lakh in FY24, so one profitable year is a short record.
  • The debt service coverage ratio in the report fell to 0.42 from 1.50, which the company links to interest on new borrowings.
  • Other non-current assets rose from ₹2,455.23 lakh to ₹8,296.85 lakh and short-term loans and advances from ₹2,216.4 lakh to ₹6,116.06 lakh, which ties up cash outside the core business.
  • Inventories of ₹10,370.47 lakh and trade receivables of ₹7,723.91 lakh make up a large part of current assets, so a fall in fibre prices or slow customer payments would hurt.
  • The business depends on one product family, PSF and PET flakes, and the cost of materials consumed was ₹38,642.83 lakh in FY25, so raw material prices drive margins.
  • The company is closely held by the Goenka family and has related-party dealings, including director salaries and a sister concern, Khera Woollen Yarns Pvt Ltd.
  • The shares are unlisted. Prices come from off-market dealers, can differ between dealers and are only indicative, and there is no filed DRHP or confirmed IPO.
