About

About Polymatech

Polymatech Electronics Limited is based at the SIPCOT Hi-Tech SEZ in Oragadam, Kancheepuram, Tamil Nadu. On its website the company describes itself as India's first and foremost semiconductor company. It works on electronics design and development, embedded systems optimisation and automated manufacturing. The company's own history page says the business was sold by Fuji Rubber to the Nandam family in August 2018 through a share purchase agreement. The family upgraded the facility in 2019. From 2020 to 2023 it put money into research on semiconductor materials, advanced polymers and optoelectronics. In 2023 it launched MicroLED and COB LED packaging. In 2024 it expanded into sapphire components such as cubes and spheres for semiconductor and metrology uses. Polymatech has also grown through acquisitions and plants abroad. It lists Nisene Technology Group in the USA, which adds decapsulation and reliability testing tools, and Brandner PCB in Estonia, which adds PCB technology. It also lists plants in France, Singapore and Bahrain, and a new plant at Raipur in India that is still under construction. This page is based only on the company's website. We could not find an annual report or other filing on the company's own domain, so we have not published revenue, profit or share count figures here. We will add them once a primary document is available. Polymatech is an unlisted company and has not completed an IPO. Its shares trade off-market through dealers, and the price shown here, currently ₹46 for a lot of 1000 shares, is only an indicative figure and not an exchange price. IPO Guru is not a SEBI-registered research analyst and this is not investment advice.

Strengths

  • The company says it has been making semiconductor-related products since the Nandam family took over in August 2018, with major R&D spending on materials, polymers and optoelectronics from 2020 to 2023.
  • It launched MicroLED and COB LED packaging in 2023, which puts it in next-generation LED packaging, a field with few Indian makers.
  • In 2024 it added sapphire components such as cubes and spheres, widening its product range beyond LED packaging.
  • It owns operations abroad through Nisene Technology Group in the USA and Brandner PCB in Estonia, which add decapsulation, testing and PCB capability.
  • It lists plants in France, Singapore and Bahrain, giving it production close to European, Asian and Middle Eastern customers.

Risks

  • We have not seen audited financials for this company on its own domain, so growth, margins and debt cannot be checked from a primary source here.
  • The company has grown through acquisitions in the USA and Estonia, and integrating foreign businesses can be costly and slow.
  • A new plant at Raipur is still under construction, so its cost and start date carry execution risk.
  • Its website carries an investor update titled Outcome of NCLT, so readers should check what corporate restructuring or legal process is under way.
  • The company is unlisted. Off-market share prices are indicative, trades are not on an exchange, and liquidity can be poor.
  • Operating plants in several countries exposes the company to currency, regulatory and supply chain risk.
