About

About Tesla Power Equipments And Projects

Tesla Power Equipments and Projects Limited makes, supplies, erects, tests and commissions transformers. Its range covers power transformers, distribution transformers, dry type transformers and multi winding inverter duty transformers (IDTs) used in solar and wind power projects. It also builds special and customised units up to 20 MVA in the 33 kV class. The company was incorporated on 12 March 2004 as India-Bio Fuels Private Limited. It became Tesla Power Equipments and Projects Private Limited on 21 September 2005 and turned into a public limited company on 24 January 2025. It began making transformers on 24 October 2016. The head office is in Govindpura, Bhopal. According to the company website, it has two plants in Madhya Pradesh. The Govindpura unit in Bhopal covers 5,206.26 square meters and is the headquarters and main factory. The Mandideep unit in Raisen district covers 16,794.45 square meters and is about 30 km from Bhopal. Together they have an installed capacity of 8,000 MVA a year. The company says it sells through 10 regional offices across India and holds ISO 9001, 14001 and OHSAS 18001 certifications. The company was set up by Mr. Jaideep Jain, who is Chairman and Managing Director and a promoter. He is also the promoter of Tesla Transformers (India) Limited, a separate company. Mrs. Ritu Jain is a promoter and Whole-Time Director. The board also has three independent directors. The company's NABL/ILAC accredited testing facility sits at its sister company, Tesla Transformers (India) Limited. We could not read audited financial statements for this company from its own website or from an exchange or regulator filing, so no revenue or profit figures are shown here. The company has not announced an IPO on its website. Shares of a company like this are dealt off-market between buyers and sellers. The indicative price on this page is ₹1625 per share and the implied market cap is about ₹1,103.99 crore. These are indicative figures, not exchange prices.

Strengths

  • The company makes four product families (power, distribution, dry type and inverter duty transformers), so it is not tied to a single transformer type.
  • Installed capacity is 8,000 MVA a year across two plants, at Bhopal and Mandideep, according to the company website.
  • It makes multi winding inverter duty transformers for solar and wind projects, which links its products to the renewable energy build-out.
  • It sells through 10 regional offices across India and holds ISO 9001, 14001 and OHSAS 18001 certifications, as stated by the company.
  • The Mandideep plant covers 16,794.45 square meters, which gives room to add capacity, though the company has not announced any expansion plan.

Risks

  • We could not verify revenue, profit, debt or cash flow from a primary document, so the financial health of the company is not shown on this page.
  • Both plants are in Madhya Pradesh, about 30 km apart, so a local disruption could affect all production.
  • Demand for inverter duty transformers depends on solar and wind project activity, which can slow with policy or financing changes.
  • The NABL/ILAC accredited testing lab sits at the sister company, Tesla Transformers (India) Limited, so testing depends on a related party.
  • Mr. Jaideep Jain is Chairman, Managing Director and a promoter, and the business relies heavily on his leadership.
  • The company became a public limited company only on 24 January 2025, so its public-company disclosure record is short.
  • Unlisted shares trade off-market with no exchange price discovery, so the indicative price of ₹1625 may differ from what a deal actually closes at, and exiting a position can take time.
