Anchor Lock-in Expiry This Week: 3 Mainboard IPOs, Two Free to Trade on 2 November

The anchor lock-in expiry this week covers three mainboard IPOs, from 2 to 8 November 2026. Two of them end on Monday, 2 November: Juniper Green Energy and MV Electrosystems. Ardee Industries follows on Sunday, 8 November.

What is an anchor lock-in?

Anchor investors are big funds that buy shares a day before an IPO opens. Half of their shares are locked for 30 days. The rest are locked for 90 days. This week's dates are the end of the 90-day lock-in, so the remaining anchor shares are now free to trade.

Free to trade does not mean the anchors will sell. It only means they can.

Which lock-ins end this week?

IPOLock-in endsIssue sizeIssue priceAnchorsPrice nowvs issue price
Juniper Green Energy2 November₹1,800 crore₹22531 raised ₹539.39 crore₹247.00+9.78%
MV Electrosystems2 November₹290 crore₹42514 raised ₹130.50 crore₹728.50+71.41%
Ardee Industries8 November₹425.87 crore₹537 raised ₹127.76 crore₹42.90-19.06%

What stands out

MV Electrosystems is the biggest mover. It was issued at ₹425 and listed at ₹520. It now trades at ₹728.50.

Juniper Green Energy is the largest issue of the three. We covered its lock-in in detail in our Juniper Green Energy lock-in story.

Ardee Industries listed at ₹72, above its ₹53 issue price, and now trades at ₹42.90. Its seven anchors invested ₹127.76 crore at the issue price.

How big were the anchor books?

Anchors took a different share of each issue. At MV Electrosystems they put in ₹130.50 crore of the ₹290 crore issue, about 45%. At Juniper Green Energy it was about 30% of the issue, and at Ardee Industries also about 30%.

A bigger anchor share means more shares become tradable on the unlock date. MV Electrosystems therefore has the largest share of its issue coming free this week.

How should you read the price column?

The table compares today's price with the issue price. Anchors paid the issue price, so the gap is their paper gain or loss on the unlocked shares.

It is not a forecast. Some anchors hold on after a lock-in ends. Others sell. Bulk and block deal data on the exchanges is where such sales show up, usually a day later.

The 30-day lock-in on half of the anchor shares has already ended for all three IPOs, as the 90-day date is the second and final step.

What happens next

Details of the MV Electrosystems issue are on its IPO page. Every upcoming lock-in date is on the IPO calendar. Prices shown are the latest stored on IPO Guru as of 2 November 2026.
