BLS Polymers IPO Closes 241.22x Subscribed, With NII Bids at 559.2x

The BLS Polymers IPO subscription status is final: the issue closed on 29 October 2026 at 241.22x overall. Among the categories, non-institutional investors bid the hardest. Our tracker saw the final book at 5:10 PM.

How did each category bid?

CategoryTimes subscribed
QIB (institutional buyers)200.25x
NII (non-institutional), total559.2x
bNII (bids above ₹10 lakh)592.83x
sNII (bids of ₹2–10 lakh)491.94x
Retail128.36x
Total241.22x

QIBs are institutions such as mutual funds. NII covers bids above ₹2 lakh, with bNII above ₹10 lakh and sNII below it.

What does this mean for retail investors?

Retail investors bid 128.36x their quota. When a category is oversubscribed, shares go by lottery, so each applicant gets at most one lot. The odds depend on how far above 1 times the retail number is.

What our data shows

A typical mainboard IPO this year got about 21 times, going by the 110 issues that have closed. The GMP for this issue moved from ₹38 on 25 October to ₹60 on 29 October.

The latest GMP is ₹58 (38.67%). That quote comes from grey market dealers and no exchange sets it, so it may move before 3 November.

About the issue

The issue is a ₹255 crore fresh issue at a price band of ₹142–150, so all the money goes to the company. One lot is 100 shares, which means ₹15,000 at the upper band. Unistone Capital is the lead manager and KFin Technologies is the registrar.

About ₹78 crore is meant for expanding the plant in Goa. Another ₹90 crore is for working capital. The rest is general corporate purposes.

BLS Polymers makes compounds that insulate and protect wires, cables and underground pipelines. In FY2026 it had total income of ₹354 crore and profit after tax of ₹27 crore. The five promoter family members keep control after the issue.

Before it opened, the company raised money from big investors. We covered that in our BLS Polymers anchor investors story.

What happens next?

The basis of allotment is due on 30 October. Refunds and demat credit are due on 2 November. Shares are set to list on BSE and NSE on 3 November.
