EAAA India Alternatives IPO Opens 26 October: ₹1,200 Crore Issue, All Offer for Sale

The EAAA India Alternatives IPO, from the firm formerly called Edelweiss Alternative Asset Advisors, will open for ₹1,200 crore on 26 October and close it on 28 October, as per the red herring prospectus filed on 19 October. The whole issue is an offer for sale. The company receives no money from it.

What are the key dates?

Anchor book23 October 2026
IPO opens26 October 2026
IPO closes28 October 2026
Allotment (expected)29 October 2026
Listing (expected)2 November 2026 on BSE and NSE

The price band and lot size were not in the report we read. We will add them on the IPO page once they are announced.

Who is selling?

Edelweiss Securities and Investments, a promoter entity, is the selling shareholder. Moneycontrol reports the issue was cut from ₹1,500 crore, the size in the draft filed in January 2026, to ₹1,200 crore. Promoters hold 95.58% before the issue. The face value is ₹5 a share.

Because nothing is fresh, the money goes to the seller and not into the business. The balance sheet stays as it is.

What does the company do?

EAAA is an alternative asset manager. It raises money from clients into funds and invests it in real assets, such as roads, offices, transmission lines and solar plants, and in private credit, which means lending to companies outside banks. Moneycontrol reports assets under management of ₹95,344.8 crore as of June 2026.

How have the numbers moved?

₹ croreFY2024FY2025FY2026

Profit after tax175.16229.78265.20
Net worth729.48966.451,075.54

Revenue rose 29.7% and profit 15.4% in FY2026. Return on equity was 25.97%. Variable additional return, a performance fee that depends on funds beating their targets, was ₹290.47 crore in FY2026, roughly 30% of total income, so it can swing from year to year.

What our data shows

At ₹1,200 crore, this is the 24th largest of 105 mainboard IPOs in 2026. Of the 100 mainboard IPOs listed this year, 66 opened above the issue price, and the median listing gain is 6.92%. Over the last 10 listings, the final grey market premium was off by 11 percentage points on average. It overstated the gain five times and understated it five times. The GMP is an unofficial dealer quote, not an exchange price.

The four lead managers have earlier records on our mainboard IPO list. Axis Capital: 22 of 28 listings opened above issue price, average gain 16.9%. Motilal Oswal Investment Advisors: 14 of 21, average 10.7%. Nuvama: 5 of 9, average 5.2%. This is a record, not a forecast.

What happens next?

Anchor investors bid on 23 October, then the issue opens to everyone on 26 October. The registrar is MUFG Intime India. Follow the GMP page for the grey market quote once it starts trading. The dates above are from the red herring prospectus as reported by Moneycontrol.
