Detailed review

What the analyst reports say, grouped by the question you're likely asking.

General review

A-One Steels India is a backward-integrated steel maker with six plants across Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh, making sponge iron, billets, TMT bars, coils and pipes. Profit rose to ₹127 crore in FY26 from ₹8 crore in FY25 on total income of ₹4,202 crore, as EBITDA margin improved to 7.29% from 4.91%. Five of the six analysts said subscribe, mostly for the long term, and one said avoid.

Listing gains

At ₹405 the notes value the issue at 22 to 25 times FY26 earnings, the gap coming from pre- versus post-issue share count, and about 13 to 14 times EV/EBITDA, on a market cap near ₹3,128 crore. Listed peers the notes cite trade at roughly 14, 27 and 40 to 46 times. Most analysts called the pricing reasonable against peers, which they read as support for a moderate to positive listing.

Short-term strategy

The fresh issue goes mainly to prepaying borrowings, which stood at ₹1,011 crore in FY26 against a net worth of ₹820 crore. Analysts expect lower finance costs and better use of existing capacity to lift earnings. The notes also flag weak cash-flow conversion and raw materials at 84.1% of revenue, so the near-term case they describe rests on margins holding up.

Long-term strategy

Analysts credit backward integration, a diversified product mix, proximity to raw materials and a planned ore beneficiation plant. Against that, steel is cyclical, Karnataka gave 54.9% of FY26 revenue, five of six plants sit in that state, and the top ten suppliers provide about half of purchases. The subscribe ratings are framed for a long-term horizon, subject to the expansion being executed on time.
