Detailed review

What the analyst reports say, grouped by the question you're likely asking.

General review

Sonaselection India is a Bhilwara-based integrated fabric maker and processor, with installed capacity of 82.44 million metres a year, having shifted from job work to direct sales of finished fabric. The notes stress total income rising from ₹121 crore in FY24 to ₹518 crore in FY26, with profit at ₹34 crore. Of six analysts, two said subscribe, one stayed neutral, two said avoid and one gave no rating.

Listing gains

At the upper band of ₹99 the notes put the issue at about 12.2 times FY26 earnings on a pre-issue basis and 16.5 times post-issue, the gap coming from the earnings base used. EV/EBITDA is near 8 times against peer multiples of 12.7 and 10.2, and market cap is ₹534 to ₹563 crore. The notes largely call this pricing reasonable, which points to a moderate listing.

Short-term strategy

Proceeds go to repaying borrowings, plant and machinery at the Bhilwara facility and general corporate purposes, against total debt of ₹258 crore on net worth of ₹104 crore. The avoid ratings rest on negative operating cash flow in FY25 and FY26 despite reported profit, and weak cash conversion. On that basis the notes support a cautious near-term stance.

Long-term strategy

The strengths the notes credit are an integrated Bhilwara plant with modern processing, in-house quality control and a move up the value chain into finished fabric. Against that they set heavy geographic concentration, with Rajasthan at 37.3% of FY26 revenue and 96% of purchases, single-plant dependence and high leverage. Analysts point to a longer horizon resting on deleveraging and steadier cash generation.
