Jio Platforms is reported to be preparing to open its IPO on 21 October 2026, aiming to raise about $3.8 billion, or roughly ₹37,000 crore. Shares are expected to list on 28 October. None of this has been confirmed by the company, and the price band is not out yet.
What is reported so far

| Anchor book | Could open 19 October |
| Listing | 28 October |
| Price band and valuation | Not decided |
The dates come from a Moneycontrol report as carried by Free Press Journal. Trak.in also reports the 21 October launch. PTI, quoting sources, says the public offer would open after the Dussehra festival but before 23 October. The company has said the final schedule depends on market conditions.
Where the money would go
The issue is entirely fresh shares, so every rupee goes to the company and none to selling shareholders. The draft prospectus says about ₹27,500 crore would repay or prepay borrowings of Reliance Jio Infocomm, the telecom subsidiary. The rest is for general corporate purposes.
Half the issue is reportedly reserved for retail and high-net-worth investors and half for institutions. The fresh shares would be about 2.9% of the equity after the issue. Reliance Industries holds around 66.4% of Jio Platforms, and Meta and Google together hold about 17.7%.
What our data shows
At about ₹37,000 crore, Jio would be the second-largest of the 26 IPO filings and plans we have tracked this year. It would also be roughly 33% bigger than Hyundai Motor India's ₹27,870 crore issue of 2024, the current record. Our upcoming mainboard IPO list shows 50 companies have filed draft papers this month alone, so Jio would arrive in a crowded pipeline.
What happens next
PTI's sources say Jio could file its final prospectus, the RHP, with SEBI in the week starting 12 October. The price band normally comes with it or soon after. SEBI cleared the draft on 28 August after the company filed in June.
The business earned a profit after tax of ₹30,053 crore on revenue of ₹1,46,885 crore in FY26, PTI reports. We covered the background in our earlier piece, what a Jio listing could mean for investors. We will update the dates once the RHP is public.
