The Jio Platforms IPO price band is said to be ₹1,065 to ₹1,119 a share, according to an ET Now report citing agencies. On 27 crore fresh shares, that implies an issue of about ₹28,755 crore to ₹30,213 crore. Neither the company nor SEBI has confirmed the band.
What is reported so far
The Economic Times, quoting the ET Now report, says the offer is likely to open for anchor investors on 19 October and for the public on 21 October. Shares are expected to list on 28 October. The dates match what Reuters reported earlier this week.
| Item | Reported detail |
|---|---|
| Price band | ₹1,065 to ₹1,119 per share |
| Fresh shares | Up to 27 crore, face value ₹10 |
| Issue size at the band | About ₹28,755 crore to ₹30,213 crore |
| Anchor day | 19 October |
| Opens | 21 October |
| Listing | 28 October |
| Post-money valuation | At least ₹10.3 lakh crore |
The final size depends on the red herring prospectus (RHP), the document that carries the official band. We have not seen it yet.
What our data shows
Our earlier report put the issue at about ₹37,700 crore, which would make it the largest of the 30 IPO filings and plans we have tracked this year. The band reported now gives a lower figure, near ₹30,000 crore. That is a gap of roughly ₹7,500 crore between the two reports, and the RHP will settle it. Even at ₹30,213 crore, the issue would be above Hyundai Motor India's ₹27,870 crore offer of 2024, as we noted in our earlier piece on the 21 October launch.
Who owns Jio Platforms
Reliance Industries held about 66.4% at the time of the draft filing. Meta's Jaadhu Holdings held 9.98% and Google International 7.73%. The issue is entirely fresh, so existing shareholders are not selling. Most of the money is meant to repay debt linked to Reliance Jio Infocomm, with the rest for general corporate purposes.
A part of the issue is expected to be set aside for eligible Reliance Industries shareholders. The size of that reservation will come only in the final offer document. SEBI rules allow up to 10%.
The business in two numbers
For FY26, media reports citing the draft documents put revenue at about ₹1.46 lakh crore and consolidated profit at ₹30,049 crore. The company served more than 524 million customers as of March 2026. We have not independently checked these against the filing.
What happens next
The RHP and the official price band are the next things to watch. Until then, treat the band, dates and valuation as reported, not final. We will update this page once the filing is public. You can follow the issue on our upcoming mainboard IPO list, and the full report is on The Economic Times.
