Detailed review

What the analyst reports say, grouped by the question you're likely asking.

General review

Symbiotec, set up in 2002 at Indore, makes over 60 corticosteroid and steroidal hormone APIs and is the only company in the world present across the top ten products by volume, holding 38.2 percent global share in corticosteroids. FY26 EBITDA margin was a healthy 27.4 percent. Nine of the eleven analysts covering it said subscribe, giving this issue the widest coverage and a clearly positive consensus.

Listing gains

At ₹988 the issue comes at 53 to 58 times FY26 earnings and EV/EBITDA near 27.6 times, on a post-issue market cap of about ₹6,244 crore. Peers trade between 58 and 163 times, so it is cheaper than peers but still expensive on its own numbers. Most analysts call it reasonably valued, a few flag it as rich. Expect a moderate listing gain.

Short-term strategy

Short-term upside looks limited. Revenue grew at just 10.16 percent CAGR and profit at 4.81 percent over FY24 to FY26, and FY25 profit was actually below FY24. Only ₹150 crore of the ₹1,757 crore raised comes to the company, so the issue adds nothing to earnings, while finance cost has risen from ₹7.24 crore to ₹25.33 crore. Patience is needed.

Long-term strategy

This is where the real story sits. A record of 43 US DMFs and 23 EDQM CEPs takes years to build and keeps competition out, and backward integration covers key starting materials for over 80 percent of products by revenue. New fermentation, CDMO and complex injectable plants at Ujjain and Mhow are the next growth legs. Several analysts recommended it specifically for a long horizon.
